Cameron Barbour
Physiotherapist/Owner:

Cam is a local boy, born and bred just down the road in Wellsford. He attended Wellsford Primary School and Rodney College before going to AUT University in Auckland where he graduated in 2011, going on to complete his Certificate in Acupuncture in 2014 and became a Certified Mulligan Practitioner in 2019. He has worked in the Kaipara region since graduating and has been with Mangawhai Physiotherapy since 2017.

He loves the Mangawhai area spending countless summers playing cricket and being a member of the Mangawhai Heads Surf Life Saving Club while at high school. He has been the Physiotherapist for the Wellsford Rugby Club since 2012 and continues to play and Physio for the team winning a Premiership in 2015. He was also Assistant Physio for the Northland Taniwha from 2018-2019. In his spare time he enjoys Fishing and Diving around the rugby season and spending time with his family.


Vicki Copeland
Physiotherapist/Owner:

Vicki joined Mangawhai Physiotherapy in 2018 after 10 years living and working on the North Shore. She has enjoyed the change in pace since moving to the Mangawhai area and loves the local beaches. In her spare time she enjoys running, walking the dog and spending time with her family and friends.

Vicki played badminton internationally for New Zealand becoming the number 1 ranked women’s singles and doubles player in 2014. Since graduating from AUT in 2011 Vicki has completed her Western Acupuncture training in 2012, Reformer Pilates in 2017, Woman’s Health Training in Australia in 2018 and becoming a Certified Mulligan Practitioner in 2019. Vicki likes to take a holistic approach to treatment focussing on both Woman’s Health and Pilates as well as sports injury management and preventing re-injury.


Bridget Berking
Senior Physiotherapist:

Bridget is a highly experienced general and sports physiotherapist with a passion for restoring and improving health and wellness to people from all walks of life. She has devoted 30 years evolving her career in Physiotherapy and Research Management in associated health and wellness fields. Aside from her 25+ years experience as a physiotherapist, Bridget is also an accomplished researcher and published author, and completed leading edge research investigating aspects of head and neck control in whiplash patients for her Masters of Health Science Degree in 2003. One of her special interests and areas of expertise is treating whiplash and head and neck pain and dysfunction. A desire to broaden her research skills and knowledge, and the practical application of research insights within the corporate world, saw her take on various roles for Les Mills International over five years from 2006, including Education and Research Management positions. Bridget then returned to physiotherapy in 2011 and has been working in Mangawhai since then. Bridget lives in Mangawhai with her husband and son and is coordinator and coach for Mahurangi Junior Hockey.


Pat McCabe
Receptionist:

Kia Ora, My name is Pat and I’m the receptionist at Coastal Care Physio. I grew up in Mangawhai before making the not so far move to the Bream Bay area with my partner and three kids 4.5 years ago who now attend Waipu Primary School. I’ve just newly joined the team here but love interacting with everyone that comes through. My role is greeting patients, taking bookings and day to day running of our reception desk.
